Terms of service
Last updated October 2026.
The agreement
EnsembleIt gives you a hosted page, a dashboard, and tools that work with your accounts on other platforms. These terms are the agreement between you and us, and creating an account means you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. Give us a real email address, because that is how we reach you about your account and your billing. You are responsible for what happens under your login, so keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, which is 19 in New Brunswick, a parent or guardian has to read these terms and agree to them for you.
Membership
An EnsembleIt membership is one account with one page, on one of these plans. On Enterprise the account may have more than one page, which we call projects: 2 are included, and each one after that is $15 a month, added to your subscription, up to 5 in all. Every project on an account is paid into the one Stripe account you link:
- Basic, $20 a month, or $180 for a year paid up front. Build the page your followers land on, as big as you like.
- Pro, $35 a month, or $300 for a year paid up front. Start selling on your own domain, with every social account you have in one dashboard.
- Enterprise, $50 a month, or $480 for a year paid up front. For creators with a community, putting your subscriber list, chatroom and a live page for when you stream in one place.
What each plan includes is listed on the pricing page. Some features are switched on in stages, and where one is not available yet, the pricing page and your dashboard mark it as coming soon, and it is not part of what you are paying for until you can use it.
A membership is personal to you or your business. You may not resell it, share one account between unrelated people, or open several accounts to get around a plan's limits or to take the free trial more than once.
Account standing. We may give an account extra trial time or make it free, for example for a partner. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or is the subject of a legal complaint. A suspended page is taken offline and your dashboard tells you why, but nothing is deleted while an account is suspended and you can still sign in, export your subscribers and delete your account. Where we can, we warn you first and give you the chance to fix things. Suspension does not stop a paid subscription by itself; if we close an account for good, we cancel it.
Price and free trial
Plans are priced in Canadian dollars (CAD), and you choose whether to pay by the month or by the year. Paid monthly: Basic $20, Pro $35, Enterprise $50 a month. Paid yearly, the whole year is charged in one payment at a lower rate: Basic $180, Pro $300, Enterprise $480 a year. The price you pay is the one shown when you subscribe. We never take a percentage of anything you sell.
On the payment page, Stripe may offer to charge you in your own currency. It works the amount out from the Canadian dollar price at its exchange rate, which includes its conversion fee, and you can choose Canadian dollars there instead.
Every new account gets 7 days of the Basic plan free, with no card asked for, and there is one trial per email address. The trial is of Basic only. Pro and Enterprise have no free days, so choosing one takes you through checkout and its first month, or its first year if you choose to pay yearly, is charged that day.
When the trial ends and you have not subscribed, your public page and media kit stop being shown, and your dashboard asks you to pick a plan. Nothing is deleted, so subscribing brings everything back as you left it. We email you 2 days before the trial ends and again when it does.
If you subscribe to Basic before the trial ends, you keep the days you have left: your card is saved and the first charge is taken on the day the trial would have ended. The exception is the last two days of a trial, when billing starts straight away. Moving from Basic to Pro or Enterprise while those days are still running ends them, and the first month or year of the new plan is charged that day.
Renewal, changing plan, and cancelling
Your subscription renews every month, or every year if you pay yearly, and your card is charged at each renewal until you cancel. We do not send a reminder before each renewal.
Moving up a plan takes effect immediately and you are charged the difference for the rest of the month or year you have paid for straight away, though if that charge fails you stay on the plan you had. Moving down a plan also takes effect immediately. If you pay monthly, the lower price starts on your next invoice and the month already paid for is not partly refunded.
Moving between monthly and yearly. You can switch either way from Billing, and a new billing period starts that day. Moving to yearly charges the year straight away, less what is left of the month you had paid for. Moving from yearly to monthly, or down a plan while you pay yearly, charges nothing more: what is left of the year you paid for is kept on your account as credit, and your next invoices are paid from that credit before your card is charged. Credit is not paid back to your card.
Extra projects. Adding a project beyond the ones your plan includes charges $15 a month for it, starting straight away with the rest of the period you are in (on a yearly plan, the rest of the year). If that charge fails, the project is not added. Deleting one stops its charge: from your next invoice if you pay monthly, and with what is left of the year kept as credit if you pay yearly. Moving down from Enterprise pauses your extra projects and stops their charge, and nothing on them is deleted.
To cancel, go to Billing and press Cancel subscription. Manage billing, on the same page, opens Stripe's billing page, where you can also cancel, change your card and download invoices. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan stays on until the end of the month or year you have already paid for. Until that day you can take the cancellation back from Billing. When the subscription ends, your page is taken offline and your plan's features switch off, but your account and everything in it are kept so you can come back.
Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately and cannot be undone.
If a payment fails
Stripe retries the card over the following days, and Billing in your dashboard shows that a payment is overdue, and your page stays up while it does. If every retry fails, the subscription ends and your page goes offline until you subscribe again.
If you dispute a charge with your bank before writing to us, we may suspend the account while the bank looks at it. Writing to support@ensemble-it.com first is nearly always faster.
Refunds
Plans are paid a month or a year at a time, and the free trial is there so you can try EnsembleIt before you pay, which is why we do not refund part of a month or a year, time you did not use, or the time left when you cancel. Cancelling means you are not charged again, and you keep your plan until the end of the month or year you paid for.
We always refund in full if:
- a payment was taken twice, or taken by mistake;
- a renewal was charged after you had cancelled;
- a fault on our side kept EnsembleIt out of action for you for much of a month, in which case we refund that month.
For anything else, write to support@ensemble-it.com and tell us what happened. We look at every request and may refund in full or in part where it is fair to. A refund goes back to the card you paid with and usually shows up within 5 to 10 working days. Where the law where you live gives you a right to a refund or to cancel, such as a cooling-off period, nothing here takes it away.
Money your own customers pay you through your own Stripe account is between you and them, and your own refund policy covers it.
Discounts and tax
A discount code is entered on Billing in your dashboard before you subscribe, or on the payment page where it offers a box for one. It applies for as long as the code says it does, and stays with your subscription if you change plan.
Prices do not include tax. Where we have to collect sales tax or VAT, it is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
Your content stays yours
Everything you put on your page belongs to you. You give us permission to store it, show it and back it up, because a page cannot be hosted any other way. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Publish only what you have the right to publish, which rules out stolen work, pretending to be someone else, anything illegal and anything built to harm the people who visit your page. We can take down content or suspend an account that breaks this, and we will tell you why.
What you may not do
You may not use EnsembleIt to:
- publish, sell or link to anything that is illegal where you are or where your visitors are;
- publish or sell work you have no right to, or use someone's name, face or brand without their permission;
- harass, threaten or defraud anyone, or pass yourself off as a person or business you are not;
- email people who did not ask to hear from you, or load a list you bought, scraped or took from somewhere else;
- host malware, phishing pages or anything made to take over a device or an account;
- publish sexual content that involves anyone under 18, or that shows anyone without their consent;
- get into accounts, data or parts of the service that are not yours, or probe our security without asking us first;
- overload the service, copy it in bulk with automated tools, or resell access to it;
- get round a plan's limits, a suspension or a ban.
We decide in good faith whether something breaks these rules. When it does we may remove it, switch off the feature involved, or suspend or close the account. We may also report it to the authorities where the law asks us to or where someone is at risk.
Copyright and other complaints
If something on a page we host copies your work or otherwise breaks your rights, write to support@ensemble-it.com. Tell us who you are, what the work is, the address of the page, and that you own the rights or act for the person who does. We pass the notice to the account holder, and we may take the content down while it is sorted out. An account that keeps infringing is closed.
If your content was taken down and you believe that was a mistake, reply to the notice we sent you and say why, and we will look at it again.
Your subscribers and your visitors
Your newsletter list is yours, and while we hold it for you, you can export it at any time. In return, you are the sender of what goes to it, and the rules on email are yours to follow: write only to people who asked to hear from you, and don't add addresses you collected somewhere else. We ask each new subscriber to confirm, and we put a working unsubscribe link in every newsletter, which you may not remove.
The laws on commercial email apply to you as the sender, including Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) and its equivalents where your subscribers live. If too many of your messages bounce or are marked as spam, we pause your sending until the list is put right, because one bad list harms delivery for every creator here.
You are also responsible for the chat on your page. It is a private room that people join with an email address, and it runs while you are in it. You can delete messages, mute, remove or ban a member, and keep a list of words you do not allow, and we may remove anything illegal or abusive.
Selling from your page
When someone buys from you, the sale is between you and them, through your own Stripe account. We are not the seller and we never hold the money. Delivery, refunds, customer service and tax on what you sell are yours to handle.
The same goes for time people book with you. The session is yours to deliver, and one that is missed or cancelled is between you and the person who booked it. You are responsible for following the consumer and tax laws that apply to what you sell, and for whatever Stripe asks of you as the holder of that account.
Your own domain
If you point a domain at your page, it has to be one you have the right to use, and its registration and DNS records are yours to keep in order. We issue the security certificate for it. If the domain lapses or its records change, your page stops answering there until they are put right.
Accounts you connect
Connect only accounts, keys and stream keys that are yours. Each platform's own rules still apply to what you do on it, including anything you do through EnsembleIt. If a platform limits or suspends you, that is between you and the platform. Platforms change what they allow outside tools to do, sometimes without warning, so a connection that works today may stop working for reasons we do not control.
The numbers we read for a YouTube channel come through YouTube API Services, so connecting a channel also means you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
What we promise, and what we don't
We work to keep EnsembleIt fast and available, and we back up your data every night. We do not promise that it will never be down or never lose anything, and you should keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is and as it is available, with no warranty beyond what these terms say. That includes any implied warranty that it is of merchantable quality, fit for a particular purpose or free of errors. We do not promise that using it will bring you sales, followers or income. Numbers we read from other platforms are theirs, and they may be rounded, late or missing.
The limit on what we owe
To the extent the law allows, the most we owe you for everything connected with EnsembleIt, whatever the claim is based on, is what you paid us in the three months before the problem arose. We are not liable for lost sales, lost profits, lost followers, lost data, damage to your reputation or any other indirect loss, even if we were told it could happen.
We are also not liable for what another company does or fails to do, including Stripe, your email service, your domain registrar and the platforms you connect, or for anything you or your visitors publish.
Some laws do not allow some of these limits. Where that is so, they apply only as far as the law lets them, and nothing here limits liability that the law says cannot be limited.
If a claim is made against us because of you
If someone brings a claim against us because of what you published, sold or sent through EnsembleIt, because of how you used an account you connected, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses it causes us, legal fees included. We will tell you about the claim promptly, and we will not settle it in a way that costs you money without asking you first.
Things outside our control
We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by something outside our reasonable control, such as a power or network failure, a fault at a company we depend on, an attack on the service, a government order or a natural disaster. We will get the service back as soon as we reasonably can.
Our name and our software
The EnsembleIt name and logo are ours. Don't present your page or product as being EnsembleIt, or suggest we made or approved something we didn't.
The service itself, its design and its code belong to us or to the people who license them to us. Your membership lets you use them to run your page. It does not let you copy them, take them apart to see how they work, or build a competing service from them. If you send us an idea for improving EnsembleIt, we may use it without owing you anything.
Ending things
You can stop at any time by cancelling or by deleting your account from Profile. The privacy page says exactly what is removed. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk, though where we can, we warn you first and give you the chance to fix it.
The parts of these terms about ownership, what we owe, claims made because of you and which law applies carry on after an account is closed.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms or our prices, we will email you at least 30 days before the change applies to you. If you don't agree you can cancel before then, and carrying on after that date means you accept the change.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada, and its courts settle any dispute about them. Rights you have as a consumer where you live, which cannot be signed away, are not affected.
Before going to court, write to support@ensemble-it.com and give us 30 days to put the problem right. Most things are settled that way.
The rest
These terms, together with the privacy page, are the whole agreement between you and us about EnsembleIt, and they replace anything said before. If a court finds that part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still stands. If we do not act on a breach straight away, we have not given up the right to act on it later.
You may not hand your account or this agreement to someone else without our written agreement. We may transfer it to a company that takes over EnsembleIt, and we will tell you if we do. We send notices to the email address on your account, and you agree that email counts as notice in writing.
