How the moving parts work, for creators and for people building around EnsembleIt.
Exact click-by-click instructions for the common setups, each one assuming you're logged in to the dashboard. If a step doesn't match what you see, email onboarding@ensemble-it.com and a person will walk you through it.
Publish your first page
- 1Open Page Builder and add the sections you want. Type straight into a section and press its save button.
- 2Drag a section by its title bar to reorder the page.
- 3Open the Design tab to pick colors, type and layout. Every design option is on every plan except the two Storefront layouts, which are Enterprise.
- 4Back on Overview, press Publish. Your page is live at your EnsembleIt address, and you can unpublish any time without losing anything.
Change how your page looks
Two places set how your page looks. They cover different amounts of it, and they save differently.
| Design tab | A section's own container | |
|---|---|---|
| Changes | Your whole page | That one section only |
| Sets | Backdrop, container colour and border, container type, accent and buttons, font, text colour and size | Its own container type, colours and border. Anything left on Design keeps following the page |
| Saves | Live when you press Save & publish. Save draft keeps it back | Live, as soon as you press Save in that section |
Where to click
| Change the colour of every box | Design tab > Containers > Container color > Save & publish |
|---|---|
| Change the text colour or size everywhere | Design tab > Font > Text color or Text size > Save & publish |
| Make one section look different | Design tab > Containers > Each section's container > open the section > Save |
| Make a section match the page again | Design tab > Containers > Each section's container > open the section > Match the rest of my page |
A section you gave its own container or colours gets an Own style badge in Each section's container, so you can find it again.
Changed something on the Design tab and a section didn't follow?
Either it isn't published yet, because a design saved with Save draft stays a draft until you publish it, or that section has a style of its own. For the second, look for the Own style badge and press Match the rest of my page in that section, or press the “Make … follow this setting” button under the setting you changed on the Design tab.
Build and share your media kit
- 1Connect your platforms in Socials first. A handle is enough, and each one becomes a tile on your kit.
- 2Open Media Kit and fill in the basics. Your connected accounts' follower counts are already there with their dates. Type one only to correct it, and shorthand like 12.4k or 1.2m works.
- 3Stats, audience, past work and rates are one line each, written as Label | Value. Past work takes an optional third part for a link.
- 4Press Save media kit, then Preview. Only you can see it at this point.
- 5When it reads right, tick Kit is live and save again. Use Copy link to share it, or open the kit and press Save as PDF.
Connect a social account
- 1Open Socials and tap a platform tile in the Your accounts card.
- 2Paste your profile link, or type your handle. Discord takes your server's invite link, and a channel webhook URL as well if you want posts sent there (Server Settings, then Integrations, then Webhooks).
- 3Press Connect. The tile turns green and the account appears under Your numbers, with the date each figure was read. Counts are read for you from then on, about twice a day. If a platform hides its count on a given day, the row says why and keeps showing the last count until the next reading works.
- 4Where a platform offers to sign you in, use that. X shows its follower count only to a signed-in account, so an X handle on its own is typed in by you.
- 5To remove one later, tap its tile and press Disconnect. Stored credentials are deleted immediately.
Set up simulcast streaming
- 1On Socials, find the green Stream once, reach everywhere panel (Enterprise plan). Any streaming app works. These steps use OBS, and on a phone Larix Broadcaster takes the same server and key.
- 2Open OBS on your computer. Go to File, then Settings, then the Stream tab, and set Service to Custom.
- 3Copy the panel's Server into OBS's Server field, and the panel's Key into OBS's Stream Key field, then press OK. This part never changes again.
- 4Get each platform's stream key. Twitch: Creator Dashboard, then Settings, then Stream. YouTube: YouTube Studio, then Go live, then Stream settings. Facebook: Live Producer, under Streaming software.
- 5Paste each key into its field under Stream keys and press Save live setup. A platform you leave blank is skipped.
- 6Press Start Streaming in OBS. Your page shows on-air within seconds and every platform with a saved key receives the stream. Press Announce it when you want your followers told.
- 7Stop streaming in OBS when you're done. The badge drops and every platform ends its broadcast on its own.
Post to every platform at once
- 1Open Socials and write your post. Press Add a picture if the post has one.
- 2Send it. The post goes to every connected account that takes posts, and the Activity Feed below shows how it went on each platform.
- 3A platform that failed shows a Retry button on the post. For accounts the Post button doesn't reach, use their buttons under the post.
Log your follower growth
- 1Open Analytics and find the Growth tracker card. Today's counts are read for you, so this is for dates in the past.
- 2Pick a platform, pick the date the count was true, and type the count. 10000, 10,000 and 10k all work.
- 3Press Add. Entries chart themselves per platform, and re-entering the same date replaces that entry, so a typo is one re-entry away.
Sell from your page
- 1Selling is part of Pro and Enterprise. Open Integrations, pick your country on the Stripe card and press Link Stripe. Stripe asks for your details on its own page, and the money from every sale goes straight to that account.
- 2Open Shop and add a product. Choose Digital download or Shipped item, then give it a name and a price. A price of 0 gives a download away for an email address.
- 3Prices are in your Stripe account's currency. Until Stripe is linked they follow the time zone in Settings, so set that to where you are.
- 4If your page has no Shop section yet, press Add the Shop section. Your products appear on your page with a Buy button.
- 5Sales and refunds are under Payments, and a refund somebody asks for shows on Shop. For a shipped item, mark the order as shipped there with the carrier and tracking number, and the buyer is emailed.
Connect your own domain
- 1Open Domain Settings and enter your domain under the domain card (Pro and Enterprise).
- 2Add the TXT record the dashboard shows you at your domain registrar. This proves the domain is yours, and nothing goes live on it until it does.
- 3Press Check the record in the dashboard once the record is in place. DNS can take a few minutes to propagate.
- 4Add the A or CNAME record the dashboard shows you. When it takes effect, and once your page is published, it serves on your domain with its own certificate.
Put your page inside an existing website
- 1Open Domain Settings and find Already have a website? Pair it. Copy the one line it gives you.
- 2Paste it into your site. There are step-by-step guides there for WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify and Webflow. From then on you edit your site's own text and pictures from the dashboard, in place.
- 3To show your EnsembleIt sections inside your site as well, add the embed from Developer docs, using the private key that is in that line.
